What we do
We are a family run business providing Freehand and Computer generated visuals to the leisure, hospitality and retail sectors. With a combined wealth of knowledge and experience we have been visualising for the interior and architectural design industry for 30 years. We have a clear understanding of what a client needs from a visual priding ourselves on commitment and creativity to deliver our clients vision.
Marker and gouache
Our signature style of illustration, all produced by hand with an expressive feel to help sell your vision.
Pencil illustration
A more schematic style using soft pencil lines to loosely sketch out your scheme.
Computer generated
Modelled and rendered from your CAD drawings to create a photo-realistic visual or animation.
Product visualisation
Using any of our visualisation techniques or even animation to show off your product.
Watercolour
A softer, more traditional style illustration with muted tones and expressive brushwork.
Digital Illustration
Using drawing tablets we can combine our skills in freehand illustration and the unlimited possibilities of digital software resulting in a dynamic visual that bridges between the two.
Meet the team

Mik Neville
Graphic design, product visualisation, site maps, typography, murals, artwork on a bus…you name it Mik’s done it! In 1995 Mik started specialising in freehand architectural illustration. He went on to set up Holman Neville with Lee Holman in 2012 and so our business was born. Outside of work if it’s not a pencil in his hand it’s a Banjo!

Laurie Neville
After completing a degree in fine art and proving his unique ability for drawing Laurie turned his hand to architectural illustration in 2010. He joined forces with Mik and Lee in 2012 to help build the business into the success it has become today. With an interest in a particularly unreliable classic car he’s also had to become a keen cyclist!

Melissa Neville
Following her fine art degree Mel worked in residential interior design before moving into the commercial sector managing artwork production. She joined Holman Neville in 2016 and has become a vital part of the business visualising and managing the studio. Outside work she’s busy being Mum and loves gardening.
Testimonials
I have been commissioning Holman Neville to do hand drawn visuals for over 15 years with consistently great results. The guys are able to produce amazing results from sometimes little available information and they all have an innate knack of understanding designers’ visions. Their visuals have often allowed us to further improve and enhance our design to a level which we didn’t expect to achieve. Every client which we have presented to has always commented positively on the quality of drawing and character which the visuals possess. They are able to turn around projects in a very short time, if required, to an impressive standard. It is always really easy to communicate with everyone there and sometimes their patience is admirable! I would recommend Holman Neville without hesitation. Thank you guys.

Adam Clayton – Associate Director, Spatialized
We have partnered with the team at Holman Nevill for almost 10 years and they remain our #1 go-to for illustrative work, always. Their talent and ability to take on a brief – and bring our vision to life – whatever the ask and the level of detail available to them – is always exceptional and they’re a great bunch of people to work with too.
Claire Nutter – Managing Director, Cracked Agency
We couldn’t recommend the team at Holman Neville more highly. Their work is exemplary, and they are consistently collaborative and supportive. They always meet deadlines and somehow manage to accommodate last-minute projects, even when it seems impossible. Their creative input consistently adds real value to our projects. Questions?
We can work from as little as a photograph and quick sketch but where possible we request the following information:
- GA plan as PDF
- Supporting DWGs as PDFs
- Photographs
- Mood board/reference imagery corresponding with plan
- Viewpoint required.
As above, but scaled Plans are more essential and supplied as DWGs.
Yes you will receive the visual at each stage. With freehand visuals we send our initial construction sketch to confirm the discussed/ indicated view point and content, then following feedback we go to detailed sketch. Following further feedback we proceed to colour. Similarly with CGI you will receive draft copies to obtain feedback before we render the final image.
We allow for reasonable amends throughout within our time allocation and fees. Any major changes or post production design changes are quoted for accordingly based on time required. We try to avoid additional charges and we will chat to you if we feel we are approaching this point.
Our freehand visuals are produced at A3, scanned in at 300dpi and issued as a high quality JPEG. We try to avoid sending out the original hard copies as we often apply finishing touches digitally. CGI visuals are usually around 4000 pixels wide and supplied as a high quality RGB JPG file.
Turnaround times always depend on our current workload, scale of space and detail required. As a general guide, once booked into the schedule a standard freehand visual can be turned around in a couple of days. CGI visuals can be turned around within 1-2 weeks. We always however do whatever we can to meet urgent deadlines.
Once our client has paid for the visual, they have the rights to the visual to use as they wish. Unless requested otherwise, 12 months after issue we may use the visual for our marketing purposes.
Just good old fashioned pencil / pen and paper! With some minor finishing digitally to ensure colours and levels are spot on!
